Minneapolis, MN – October 23, 2024 – Beth Costello was honored to speak at Make-A-Wish Minnesota’s newly formed Wishmakers Council meeting. The council, composed of civic, corporate, and philanthropic leaders, aims to raise financial support and awareness for Make-A-Wish Minnesota, helping to grant wishes to children facing critical illnesses.

Beth shared an inspiring speech that highlighted the story of her late husband, Thomas A. Costello, affectionately known as Tommy, whose legacy lives on through the Thomas A. Costello Legacy Foundation (TACLF). She spoke about Tommy’s dedication to helping others, particularly children, and how this passion led to the creation of the foundation. She also provided insight into the foundation’s mission and the various events it holds throughout the year to raise funds for causes that Tommy deeply cared about.

During her speech, Beth shared touching stories about Tommy’s love for giving back and the profound impact he had on so many lives. The foundation’s work has continued to inspire many in the community, and it was a privilege for Beth to highlight the shared values between TACLF and Make-A-Wish Minnesota.

As a testament to the foundation's ongoing commitment to making a difference, the Thomas A. Costello Legacy Foundation proudly presented a $10,000 check to Make-A-Wish Minnesota during the event. This donation brings the total amount donated by the foundation to Make-A-Wish Minnesota to $31,000 to date, reinforcing the deep connection between the two organizations and their shared goal of bringing joy and hope to children in need.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the Thomas A. Costello Legacy Foundation,” said the executive director of Make-A-Wish Minnesota. “The support we’ve received from TACLF has made a tangible difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. We are honored to continue working together to grant wishes and create lasting memories for those in our community facing challenging circumstances.”

Beth expressed her gratitude to the Wishmakers Council for their efforts in supporting Make-A-Wish Minnesota and the children it serves. She emphasized the importance of continuing Tommy’s legacy through the foundation’s contributions to organizations like Make-A-Wish, which share a common mission of bringing hope and opportunities to children in need.

The evening was a powerful reminder of the impact that individuals and foundations can have when they come together for a common cause. The partnership between TACLF and Make-A-Wish Minnesota continues to grow, and both organizations are committed to ensuring that Tommy’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and giving back lives on for years to come.
